I took a look at DOS Home these past few days, and I feel its popularity is higher than ours. Quite a few people have been coming to this forum too these days, but why is the posting volume still not very large? In my personal opinion, there are several reasons for this. Of course, if there is anything wrong in what I say, please criticize me freely, brothers and sisters.
Today, with Win versions constantly being upgraded, the familiar DOS is gradually becoming more distant. Among those who come into contact with DOS and study DOS, very few can truly reach the level of webmaster wengier. The posts at DOS Home are quite simple and easy to follow, while the content here is relatively deeper. People who come here may worry that the more they say, the more mistakes they will make (though of course this worry is completely unnecessary). Yes, this site has a high level. But because of that, it may also lose some of its friendliness toward beginners. One can only admire it from afar like a lofty mountain.
There is another phenomenon on this site. The webmaster wengier replies to almost every post. I think a marshal who is always fighting on the front line can at most only hold the position of a general. A webmaster is an organizer. A marshal should plan strategy in the command tent and decide victory from a thousand miles away, rather than focus on one-sided local battles. I fear this is also why some friends say this site “feels too much like a personal website.” Even Zhuge Wuhou, capable as he was, failed to seize Wei despite making seven campaigns to Qishan. I fear that had a great deal to do with his “personally handling everything.”
Handling everything personally, no matter how big or small, is also why many problems can only be touched on superficially.
Leave some room for the moderators or ordinary users to speak. Or raise some guiding questions.
You could open a wengier reception room. Webmaster, what rests on your shoulders is not merely the rise and fall of a personal website.
Some moderators also come by very rarely now. A certain system of rewards, penalties, and promotion should be implemented, and total overall post count should not be the only standard. I think this would certainly stir up the enthusiasm of some of our colleagues; after all, it concerns honor and disgrace.
The language barrier must be the biggest obstacle for newcomers who want to learn DOS. So, experts, could your explanations be made as clear and easy to understand as possible? Do more Chinese localization of DOS software and more teaching as well.
I’ll stop here for now. Please, those who truly love this site, add more.

弄花香满衣,掬水月在手。
明月鹭鸟飞, 芦花白马走。
我自一过后,野渡现横舟。
青云碧空在,净瓶水不流。
