KNL.com removes the boot information!
RDXM.com only retains the XMS font library module!
The display driver is only VGA.DRV!
The pinyin input only keeps single characters, removing word groups!
The compressed package is created using CABARC.EXE with the LZX:21 parameter!

Haha, UCDOS can actually be streamlined down to 184K and can be put into the boot disk. It really deserves to be the ultimate version, getting more and more refined. The Pinyin input method has no phrases, which is quite a pity, but there are few times when you need to input Chinese characters under DOS, so this is not a big deal. It's worth making a little sacrifice to save space. Bookmark...

Can be even smaller! UCDOS without input method, .CAB is only 149KB!

Only 6 files: RDxm.COM,ASC16,HZK16,KNL.COM,VGA.DRV,UCDOS.BAT.

Note: .RAR should be changed to .CAB!

Sure! Just that UCDOS starts with the default display driver using VGA.DRV. The solution:
1) When starting, KNL with parameter: KNL VESA
2) Rename VESA.DRV to VGA.DRV
I can also separately make read font modules that only contain one other type of method (hard disk/memory/VDISK/EMS)!

It seems that cabarc in memory seems to have an option to save the compression path. Why is there no drv path in your ucdos package? Also, I don't know if you modified ucdos to correct its path dependence on ucdos?

In CCDOSMIN, PY4.IMD has been modified to have four-code automatic screen entry, where zh/ch/sh/ng are input by u/i/o/m.

KNL and RDXM have fixed the restrictions on the UCDOS path, but LIMD.COM does not seem to have been fixed.

I have tested, there should be no such problem. On the premise that the C:\ucdos directory and files do not exist, create directories and files in D:\ucdos, and the test passed.

If you want a higher compression ratio, you can clear the font information of sectors ten to fifteen. The program is in the attachment. Enter the program name in the command line.

I mean, it can only be placed in the x:\ucdos directory in the root directory, not in the subdirectory of a subdirectory. If it is placed in a two-level directory, the Chinese character system can start, but the input method cannot be used.

: As long as it's UCDOS, it can only be like this! Unless someone modifies all programs related to the UCDOS system path, such as calling a subroutine or TSR extended interrupt calls. It's a big project.

Little trick:
Just change the path name UCDOS to something like UC\UC or U\UC7.
In short, the length remains the same, and this should be the simplest way to change it!!!
