你好，我一直都在用MAXDOS 5.5S的版本，用都有几年了，但是这个版本最高只能支持2G的内存，目前我还不喜欢V8的最新版本，请问老大改什么文件可以把这个版本能支持2G以上的内存，谢谢老大回复！

是不是GRUB不支持2G以上的？还是HIMEM不支持
更新GRUB的话里面的路径什么都不知道怎么改，用工具改的话老是报错！

看了你的帖子，貌似是memdisk不支持，用最新的memdisk试一下
After reading your post, it seems that memdisk doesn't support it. Try using the latest memdisk.

嘿嘿，楼上的，换用新版的g4d直接引导maxdos的内核可以正常启动，这一点已在偶的4G内存机子上得到证实。当然，试图仅仅通过更换新版的memdisk来引导启动，也被证实为不可行。看来的确是原版使用的grub的问题，你还是老老实实的换g4d吧。
关于提取maxdos的内核的问题，偶在你的另一个帖子里介绍过了。
Heheh, upstairs, using the new version of g4d to directly boot the MaxDOS kernel can start normally, which has been confirmed on my 4G memory machine. Of course, trying to boot only by replacing the new version of memdisk has also been confirmed to be not feasible. It seems that it is indeed the problem of the original version of GRUB. You'd better honestly switch to g4d.
Regarding the problem of extracting the MaxDOS kernel, I introduced it in your other post.
