在NORTON里是有这个程序，能改变硬盘的间隔因子，应该是低级格式化硬盘的，它的做法是先读出整个磁道的数据，然后低级格式化该磁道，在把原数据写回去，主要是为了提高硬盘的数据读写速度，谁让当初我们使用的是286、386呢？我想现在的硬盘怕是不行了，也没有必要了！
In NORTON, there is this program that can change the hard disk's interleave factor. It should be for low-level formatting the hard disk. The way it works is to first read the data of the entire track, then low-level format that track, and then write the original data back. It's mainly to improve the data reading and writing speed of the hard disk. Who made us use 286, 386 back then? I think it's probably not feasible for current hard disks, and it's not necessary either!

The author is simply absurd. Not destroying the original data is not low-level formatting at all.

I've been in the computer industry for so many years, but I really haven't heard that data on a hard drive that's been low-level formatted won't disappear... Inconceivable!

低格就是要毁掉数据的，你说的可能是只格一部分，比如说硬盘引导区。
Low-level formatting is meant to destroy data. What you mentioned might be only formatting a part, such as the hard disk boot sector.
