我有台老式笔记本，AMD 133，1G，32M。操作系统是WIN98，平常我一般用PC网卡上网浏览信息，总觉得机器运行98太慢。有时候听MP3甚至不连贯。换装过LINUX，根本无法进入X WINDOWS，很不适合家庭使用。
无意看了贵网站的DOS文章，我很惊讶，现在毫无疑问，DOS最适合我的机器，看来我又得FORMAT了。：）
我有几点疑问想问问斑竹，FreeDOS系统对中文的支持性如何，如安装FreeDOS，我的C盘是FAT16好，还是FAT32更好，另外，10M，PCMCIA接口的网卡该如何配置？
还有，何种语言最适合DOS编程？DJGPP C/C++还是TC？

I have an old laptop, AMD 133, 1G, 32M. The operating system is WIN98. Usually I use a PC network card to surf the Internet and browse information. I always feel that the machine runs 98 too slowly. Sometimes listening to MP3 is even not smooth. I have installed LINUX, but I can't enter X WINDOWS at all, which is not suitable for home use.

如果用WIN98也可以，建议用WIN98第一版，把MP3用DIETMP3压缩后会好一些，还可以做成双启动或直接使用WIN98的DOS7.1，因为DOS使用的空间不大。
If using WIN98 is also okay, it is suggested to use the first edition of WIN98. After compressing MP3 with DIETMP3, it will be better. You can also make a dual boot or directly use DOS7.1 of WIN98, because the space used by DOS is not large.

就用MS-DOS 7.10吧，至于是FAT16或FAT32都无所谓。试试我做的MS-DOS 7.10启动盘直接运行其中的MAKEBOOT.BAT并准备一张软盘即可（当然用HD-COPY等软件也行）：

Just use MS-DOS 7.10. It doesn't matter if it's FAT16 or FAT32. Try running the MAKEBOOT.BAT in the MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk I made and prepare a floppy disk (of course, you can also use software like HD-COPY):
