Compaq's old machines are really hard to tinker with. The host itself is of excellent quality. The machine from more than 20 years ago is still in good condition even after being kept until now. The coin - cell battery on the motherboard has failed. Now a new battery has been replaced. The original Quantum hard drive of the host has a bad sector in the 0th sector, so it has to be replaced. Now the problem is that the BIOS of this machine stores in a non - DOS partition on the hard drive. Without this partition data, it's impossible to update the device information, and it can't even boot. As soon as it's powered on, it says there's an error in the partition data. I've been struggling with this for a long time and finally found the system configuration software for this machine that is still stored on the server on Compaq's official website. I got excited and downloaded it. According to the steps, I used a USB floppy drive to make a system disk with 4 3.5 - inch disks on another computer. The work progress today is so far quite promising. I'll continue to report the work process later. Also, I hope experienced players can give some pointers and we can learn from each other.

Previously, besides Dungeon Keeper, there was another game called Men vs Women, which I forgot. It was similar to the simple mode of StarCraft. The male was a stone golem, and the female had flying birds or something. I felt that game was quite interesting. It seemed a bit similar to the appearance in Stone Age. Just these two impressions are relatively deep.


In the later stages of the Emperor and Star Dreamer games, they often crashed, and I had to keep saving, which felt a pity. Instead, I don't have a deep memory. (If the problem of crashing was solved and set to unlimited duration, then I could play indefinitely, which would be great.)
