==========================================================================
==========================================================================
=============================================================================
=============================================================================
=============================================================================

Nowadays, more and more new computers support booting from USB drives. USB drives also have larger capacities, smaller sizes, and are very portable. When repairing computers, recovering data, or installing systems with friends or in companies, a 2GB USB drive is sufficient. Of course, compared with optical discs, USB drives have the shortcoming of relatively poor compatibility. Let's not dwell on the drawbacks of USB drives for now. Let's take a look at what's in my USB drive...
This is a GEEXBOX I made that integrates system maintenance, using LAN and the Internet under DOS, multimedia under DOS, virus scanning under DOS (Kaspersky), WINXPE, hard drive repair, data recovery, and directly playing audio and video files. It has a size of nearly 300M and contains many excellent programs, all classified and placed in different directories. The programs on this multi-functional USB drive are all collected from the Internet. Some programs, if used improperly, may cause data loss (programs for formatting disks, partitioning, repairing hard drives, etc.). In the previous USB drive system shared with everyone, friends mentioned that the boot password shouldn't be set, so the content of config.sys was modified, and the most commonly used first item and the last item's boot password were removed. The passwords for other items are still "_73tM31n" (without quotes), which can be modified by yourself. Also, after the first item is booted, a simple and beautiful Chinese DOS interface is created, and you can enter "menu" to use it conveniently for novices. This USB drive system also has some features, briefly introduced as follows:
==========================================================================
The boot password of this system is "_73tM31n" (without quotes)
This USB drive is in USB_ZIP boot mode, with the prompt a:, so please format your USB drive to USB_ZIP format, and then copy all the files here.
Except for txt files, none of the files in the root directory can be deleted.
The DOS directory in the root directory contains some programs used during startup.
Another directory in the root directory is BOOT, where all tools are concentrated:
encrypt.exe, run it, it will prompt you to enter a password. This program will modify password.sys, and then you will be required to enter the previous password when booting into DOS. Don't forget it. But if you really forget, run encrypt.exe again under XP and enter a new one. Please note that when you set the password yourself, don't exceed 8 characters, otherwise there will be problems.
The network cards of several computers I have come across are all RTL8139, so the relevant places in this system related to network cards all use this network card driver. Friends with other network cards please change it yourself.
Other programs under BOOT are very common, and no introduction is made here.
==========================================================================
Directories under BOOT:
BOOT directory: There is another BOOT directory under it. This is for startup under MSDOS, that is, some IMAGE files used when autoexec.bat and config.sys are started, such as win32, win98, dwarf's DOS tools, LAN (only supports my 8139 network card, if you use others, make some modifications. The network card driver can be found in \BOOT\NET\NETCARD. It uses com or exe file format drivers.)
CAI directory: It is TT and WT under DOS, programs for practicing English and Wubi input methods. I used it when I was studying, so I collected it here.
cmosmenu directory: Tools for modifying and backing up CMOS.
AVPDOS directory: Antivirus software under DOS, which supports upgrading. Please see the instructions in the directory.
disktool directory: There are some programs for data recovery and hard drive repair here, famous DM and disk wizard DISKGEN, PQMAGIC is also placed here (there are many other good hard drive repair tools, ensuring you will gain a lot).
drv directory: Common drivers under DOS, including USB, NTFSPRO, IFS, IEEE1394, and PC card drivers for laptops.
ext directory: Some extended programs under DOS, including Chinese character system TW, WPS, and program managers seal2, dn,, nc, vc, etc.
ghost directory: Including version 8.3 and version 11. If you never use version 11, you can delete it.
grub directory: Boot guiding tool, there is a BOOT directory under it, some IMG files started by GRUB and some LINUX are placed here.
media directory: It includes many multimedia tools, all collected from the Internet. Thanks to China DOS Union and New DOS Era websites.
net directory: Including a large number of tools used for accessing the Internet and LAN, including: Arachne, Lynx, FTP, NetCopy, TsClient, VNCVIEW (my favorite, VNC client for remote control under DOS), LL5, XTLINK, ZIP, and executable drivers for network cards under DOS.
menu directory: It is the set of Chinese menu batch commands I made.
=============================================================================
GEEXBOX directory: GEEXBOX is a system that plays audio and video files directly without entering WINDOWS and supports many formats. Also, I made a hard drive version of GEEXBOX, which can be installed in a FAT32 format XP system (the XP system should be on drive C). During installation, you need to first extract the RAR to a directory and then install. The hard drive version can be downloaded at
http://webdisk.cech.com.cn/download/file_share_3506351.html
=============================================================================
WINXPE is the bottom item after startup. I have placed the GHO file of GHOSTXP on the USB drive (you need to download it separately). When the machine that needs to reinstall the system cannot start, you can enter the XPE system, then copy the GHO file to the hard drive, and then enter DOS to restore. Why do this? Because the XPE system has better support for USB2.0, at least for my USB drive.
There is a special software in this XPE system that I added, which is the ability to find the administrator password of XP on the hard drive. This function is great. You don't need to clear someone else's password, and you don't need to add a user in someone else's system (this XPE system also has a program for adding users). Because to prevent others from finding that someone has used the computer, you have to delete the added user name and those added files after you finish, which is very troublesome. Now, good news, you start that program, change the language to Chinese in the "option", try its functions, and you can see the administrator password of XP on the hard drive. Try it on your own machine first.
=============================================================================
The above is a simple introduction.
I hope everyone likes this "toy" I made.
