DOS访问局域网机器与NETBEUI协议

经过多次尝试,终于可以在VMWARE的DOS系统下可以访问真实主机的共享资源了. 可是遇到一个问题,不是很明白.所以想跟大家请教一下:
在安装有XP,2003的机器上,只有添加了NETBEUI协议之后,在DOS系统下才可以共享XP,2003的资源,如果没有添加NETBEUI协议,在DOS下使用NET USE 命令进行映射的时候,会提示 ERROR 53 ,找不到网络路径.
在XP,2003的机器上,默认情况下,并没有NETBEUI协议,只有 TCP/IP 协议,Microsoft 网络客户端,Microsoft 网络的文件和打印机共享这三个. XP与2003之间可以正常进行互相访问.
可是为什么在DOS系统下就不能访问XP与2003的共享资源呢?? 必须要XP跟2003添加NETBEUI协议????
有谁可以帮我解释一下吗????
After multiple attempts, I finally can access the shared resources of the real host under the DOS system of VMWARE. But I encountered a problem that I don't understand very well. So I want to ask everyone for advice:

哦，楼主强啊。俺是新手，dos下访问windows咋就不行呀，我装的是msdos7.10，也装了Microsoft Network Client 3.0，运行net view总是给报错说workstation没启动，郁闷哦。不知楼主咋做的，教教我啊，先谢谢了。

经过在VMware虚拟机的测试,似乎服务器并不需要NETBEUI协议的支持.
但是在执行NET VIEW命令的时候,有时候成功,有时候不成功,不知道哪儿的原因.
是否需要NETBEUI协议的支持,我还需要进一步测试.

DOS下也可以使用tcp/ip和ipx协议连接windows.

好像 samba 就是要 netbios 来支持的。
后来 nt 以上好像有些可以“偷懒”，例如不装共享组件也可以用命令行的net命令共享文件夹。

今天有空,把MS CLIENT 3.0重新安装了一下,只安装了TCP/IP协议,进行测试.结果非常令人开心,共享完全没有问题,由此说明DOS利用TCP/IP是没有问题的
