I also encountered the same problem, and it is also an 845 motherboard.
Test results:
1. Items 1 to 4 of the original disc cannot boot. If the CD item DEVICEHIGH=ASPICD.SYS /D:SCSI-CD is deleted in the CONFIG file, then item 1 can boot.
2. Select item 2. If the M2 item DEVICE=HIRAM.EXE is deleted in the CONFIG file, it can boot. If this program is loaded, it will freeze and cannot be hot-booted.

Can we compress the logo? The logo itself is a BMP file, starting with the signature "BM". And BMP files support RLE8, RLE4 compression. The file you have now is uncompressed. I think we can find a tool to convert it to a compressed BMP file, which can save a lot of space.
