i need help configuring a CS4235 isa soundcard. i have the DOS drivers installed (cwdinit.exe) and it initializes successfully (no errors from autoexec.bat). it sets the variable:
ULTRA16=530,1,5,0
but i am not familiar with this. most of my apps and games look for the "BLASTER=" environment setting.
apparently, the CS423x cards are capable of emulating SBPro and WSS (windows sound system) in DOS. the discussion is here:
