QCDROM 4.2 9K is a very good general-purpose IDE/ATAPI CD-ROM driver. You can directly load it with the DEVICE(HIGH) command in CONFIG.SYS. It supports UltraDMA function, so it has very good performance and occupies very little memory. This is the latest version from January 2007!

There are differences between QCDROM and GCDROM. QCDROM cannot drive native SATA optical drives (CD/DVD). Of course, GCDROM also cannot drive PATA optical drives normally...
