1-Nov-07 UIDES (1.75K driver) replaces UIDEL, for "boot" diskettes.

29-Oct-07         UIDE /N switch added. 6K-byte UIDEL included, for "boot" diskettes. UIDE/UIDEL logic improved, run-time driver sizes reduced.

加 入 /N 參 數 ， 可 獨 立 執 行 UDMA DVD 或 UDMA 硬 盤

嘿嘿，从下载下来的 drivers 压缩包看，新出的用以替换 uidel 的 uides 的体积与 uide 相当，“专给软盘使用的、体积超小的”从何说起？不只是语言表述方式的差异或是我的理解有问题（1.75k driver，意思是指1.75k大小的驱动吗？英文不好，理解错了请勿见笑）或是压缩包内的文件有问题？还望 johnsonlam 兄解惑。谢谢！

你 沒 有 看 錯 ， 你 的 英 文 也 很 好 啊 !
假 如 你 使 用 1GB 暫 存 ， 執 行 後 在 記 憶 體 內 ﹝ 建 立 ﹞ 的 那 個 『 快 速 查 表 』 的 內 存 大 少 不 一 樣 啊 。

原 文:

For "boot" diskettes or other limited DOS systems, the UIDES driver can be used in place of UIDE.   UIDES omits the /L switch and loads only in 1.75K "small" form.

This reduces its logic and lets UIDES be "packed" into a 6K object file.    UIDES is a "conditional assembly" of the main UIDE source file, and it does provide all other UIDE features.   Except as noted below, all comments in this README about UIDE apply equally to the UIDES driver as well.

  /S1023   1023-MB cache, 32736-byte table size, 64K blocks.

留 意 ， 5-MB 和 1023-MB 的 look-up table 那 個 快 速 查 表 大 少 不 一 樣 。
