Os2 Warp 5 Ecomstation v1.1

Actually it's eComStation 1.1. At that time, there was no KEY, so it wasn't installed successfully. Later, I downloaded the simplified Chinese cracked version of eComStation 1.2 Beta and installed it successfully. Thanks for providing eComStation 2.0 RC6a. I'll try it when I have time.

The following is the cracked installation method for version 1.1 without a key on the Internet:

how to install eCS without a key?

1) Take CD1 and create a image File
2) look in file
X:\ECS\INSTALL\NLS\EN\register.gps
for line
data = 1, regFileName
data = 1, "?:\\OS2\\ECSREG11.INI";
and modify it to
// data = 1, regFileName
// data = 1, "?:\\OS2\\ECSREG11.INI";

3) burn modified image (image modify with UltraISO, WinISO program)
4) now you are able to install eCS (NEXT key is activated !!)

5) Take CD3 and do same procedure with file
X:\REGISTER\NLS\EN\regstart.gps
look for line
data = 1, "\\OS2\\ECSREG.INI";
and modify to
// data = 1, "\\OS2\\ECSREG.INI";

6) Save new image and burn.

That's all

By the way, when installing this version in VPC, please note the following points:

1. Change the virtual floppy drive in VPC to 2.88MB
2. Boot the installation using DISK0.DSK and DISK1_CD.DSK under X:\DISKIMGS\OS2 on the system disk.
3. v3.0 warp-FixPak-wx03807-china-prc is the latest Chinese version patch for 3.0 (after successful update, ver /r will show version 8.262)
4. S3 Trio32 is the VPC graphics card driver (color depth can only be selected as 65536) (be sure to install the patch first, then the graphics card driver, this is crucial. If you install the graphics card driver before applying the latest patch, after restarting, all Chinese characters will be garbled or not displayed.)
5. Intel 21041_21140-Driver.ima is the VPC network card driver
6. FixPak treats this version as OS/2 Warp Server v3.0 GB
